Research

The Hans-Ruthenberg-Institute for tropical agriculture has the most comprehensive educational and research capacity in tropical agricultural fields among the German universities and research institutions. More than 100 scientists provide profound empirical and theoretical knowledge of the whole spectra of tropical agricultural systems. Such a large coherent interdisciplinary expertise for tropical agriculture is not often found around the world in one place.
