Willmar Leiser from the Universität Hohenheim was awarded with the Hans H. Ruthenberg Award 2011 [18.10.11]
He was awarded fo his outstanding Master thesis on "Variation for Adaptation of Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) to Low Phosphorous Soils in Mali (West Africa)” supervised by Prof. Dr. A. E. Melchinger.

The other prize winner is Andrea Bues from the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin for her work on “Agricultural Foreign Direct Investment, Water Rights and Conflict – an Institutional Analysis from Ethiopia". Dr. Ludger Herrmann received the prize on behalf of Willmar Leiser.
