Special Student Offer:

We offer accommodation for 3 nights (Tuesday – Friday) at the “Base Camp Bonn Hostel”. The Base Camp is the first and only indoor vintage campsite in the galaxy. Built in a former warehouse in the south of Bonn, guests can spend the night in retro caravans and many other curiosities. Beds at the Base Camp Hostel (breakfast not inclusive) will be available for students and PhD candidates at special rates supported by Hohenheim Tropics.

Students: 50 €      PhD candidates: 70 €

Due to relative expensive group offers and the demand for flexibility we decided that travel to Bonn should be self-organized. We suggest to book “Super Saver Fare” Deutsche Bahn starting from 15 Euro (one way). Bus travels are also available for less than 20 Euro (one way).

How to participate:

·         First register for the Tropentag conference on www.tropentag.de.

·         Visit the organisation office at the Hans-Ruthenberg-Institute, bring along a copy your registration confirmation for the Tropentag and register on the list (first come first serve).

·         Great if you could already organize in groups, we have 1, 2-3 bed rooms / vehicles available.

·         Transfer the (group) contribution to the bank account of the
University of Hohenheim, Baden-Württembergische Bank
